Researchers at Chicago’s Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation did a study on which aromas were best for putting  men “in the mood”.  This could be very useful information both for men buying perfume for a girlfriend or wife - and for women looking for that scent to get their man turned on.
In the study, men aged 18 to 64 sniffed 30 different scents while scientists measured fluctuations in blood flow to their nethers. They found that  orange, vanilla, musk, and lavender got the biggest rise out of the guys. Researchers believe these smells increase the production of alpha brain waves, associated with a more relaxed state. According to study author Alan Hirsch, MD, reduced anxiety and inhibition lead to increased arousal.
