Dyson bagless cleaners were seen as breakthrough technology when they first came out. The Dyson brand is seen by some as expensive - but with a 5 Year guarantee on every model - you can’t really go wrong. The old saying - “buy cheap buy twice” is definitely true. The 5-year guarantee, which applies to all cleaners bought in the UK and Ireland from 27 July 2006, covers both labour and machine parts but not belts and filters.

In UK there have been tests on vacuum cleaners by a well known consumer organisation which is renowned for it’s reviews and best buy surveys. Only 2 vacuums in the tests got top marks for cleaning performance on all surfaces - laminate, wood and carpet . These were the Dyson DC14 All Floors Upright and the Dyson DC24 Ball also an upright model.

Miele are always coming out on or near the top of Best Buy tables for vacuum cleaners. In a recent survey in the UK by a well known consumer organisation - Miele had the top 4 vacuums out of 49 that were tested. They came out above  makes such as Hoover, Dirt Devil and  Electrolux .
Miele also came top in a vacuum cleaner reliability survey.  Miele might have a reputation for being expensive - but that is not the case with their vacuum cleaners .
Buying Miele appliances online in Ireland is fairly difficult - but we found one retailer called Electric Shopping that sell Miele vacuums with delivery to Ireland for just €5 euro per order. They also sell Dysons and lots of other electrical goods.
