Also highly recommended is the Canon Powershot A590 IS - available now at Pixmania for about €111 delivered in Ireland. This camera has a lot of manual adjustment functions that an experienced digital photographer might want to use - such as aperture and shutter speed priority mode settings, and a manually adjustable focus and flash. The Camera is a Canon Ixus 70 - which ia a 7Mega Pixel camera . It is a stylish, very compact, well-built point and shoot digital camera . It was released in 2007 - so it’s not one of the latest models - but it is a good camera and the best price we could find was £129 GBP - or about €155 Euro
So the typical cost of the camera and printer bought online separately would be about €267 Euro -
The Viking price is €117 less than that. Vikings previous price for the combination was €278 Euro.
The special offer price is €123.99 Plus VAT = €150 including Free Delivery
The weakness of Sterling against the Euro continues. Today it fell to 84.7 pence against the Euro - the lowest since the introduction of the Euro. A pound is now worth about €1.19 on the currency markets. This is good news for online shoppers in Ireland buying from UK based shops that deliver to Ireland.
In September 2007 the Pound was worth about €1.50 euro . An item priced at £100 GBP would have cost €150 Euro. Now the conversion rate means the same item would only costs Irish purchasers about €120. Even with delivery charges from the UK - online prices are still good compared to Irish “high street” shops. You can use your Irish credit card to purchase goods in Sterling - with no problems.
Hers is a selection of the sites that let you pay in Sterling. Browse the categories on the right to find more.
