Irish mobile network O2 have become the first operator in Ireland to put the new Samsung Galaxy S4 up for pre-order. Although there is still no confirmed release date in Ireland it is expected that the phone will be released at the end of April or the beginning of May. Customers wish to be among the first in Ireland to own the S4 can expect to pay €189 for the device on a €50 per month contract over 24 months. With this contract you will receive 600 minutes and 600 texts per month as well as 1Gb of internet which is expandable for a small monthly fee, as is the case with most of O2’s contracts you will be able to take advantage of free calls and texts to all phones on the O2 network.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is wider and slimmer than all previous models with higher specs and tonnes of new features, some of which include:
- ‘Dual Camera’ – This allows users to take photos with the front and back facing cameras at the same time and blend the pictures together.
- ‘Smart Pause’ – Control videos and scroll text using just your eyes
- ‘Air View’ & ‘Air Gesture’ – You will be able to control videos, calls and music with the swipe of your hand as well as being able to hover over content and select it without touching the screen.
- ‘S Health’ – Built-in software which will track your daily routine and help you keep up-to-date with your progress.
