The first mobile phone retailer in Ireland to offer the eagerly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S4 to it’s customers is O2. Although there is no confirmed release date for the S4, O2 say that they expect the device to be shipped by the end of April and customers who pre-order the smartphone will receive it after three working days.
Depending on which price plan you choose the device itself will cost varying amounts, the longer your contract the cheaper the phone is up-front. The two 24 month plans with the most value are the ‘Choices 1200’ and the ‘Choices 800’ brackets, they cost €60 and €50 respectively however the ‘Choices 1200’ will come in at a reduced rate of €50 per month for the first six months. In both cases the Galaxy S4 will cost €189 and each plan gives you three usage options which favor either calls, texts or both in equal measure, also included is 1Gb of internet usage and unlimited calls and texts to all O2 customers.
If you want to get your hands on the Galaxy S4 but don’t want to enter into a long term contract O2 also offer the phone on contracts as short as 6 months as well as a pre-pay phone. However if you choose one of these options the device itself will set you back a significant amount.
You can expect a pre-order announcement from the other major mobile companies in Ireland such as Meteor and Three within the next week. Demand for the S4 in Ireland is set to be unprecedented so act fast if you want to get your hands on one.
