The Acer Inspire One is great for everyday computer tasks like  browsing the internet , word processing, spreadsheets.  It only has 512MB of Ram - but because it runs  the Linux operating system it doesn’t need as much memory as laptops running Windows Vista .  You won’t miss Windows if that is what you are used to -  the Linux interface is user friendly.

Processor : The Acer Aspire One is one of the first PCs to use Intel’s Atom processor, which has been specially designed for use in portable devices such as laptops where battery life is important.

The screen is bright and clear - better than some of the more expensive laptops . The Acer Inspire One weighs  less than 1kg - so it’s easy to carry around. Like many  mini-laptops, the built-in speakers aren’t great quality - but you can just use some good headphones if you want  to listen to music.

The basic model comes with  8GB of solid-state storage.  If you think you’ll need more, then you can opt for a 120GB solid-state drive. You can also get versions with 1GB of Ram and the Windows operating system if you want something more familiar (and more expensive)
